Venus is an investment director at The Kresge Foundation. She joined the foundation in 2019. Previously Venus served as head of public markets at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, where she was involved with managing investments for the global automaker’s U.S. and Canadian pension funds.  She has also held positions with Morningstar Inc., the University of Chicago Investment Office, and J.P. Morgan Asset Management.

A native of Ann Arbor, Michigan, she earned an MBA at the University of Chicago, a BBA in Finance from Howard University, and holds both the Chartered Financial Analyst and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designations.  She serves on the Finance Committee of the Hudson-Webber Foundation, a private foundation created to support community initiatives across the city of Detroit.
