Hof retired from Wake Forest University as its Executive Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer , where his responsibilities included oversight of the University’s financial and administrative operations including financial and accounting services, budget and financial planning, finance systems, information systems, human resources, facilities and campus services, sustainability, real estate, and business operations.
Prior to joining Wake Forest, Hof served as the Vice-President for Finance and Treasurer at Duke University, where he oversaw an array of accounting and financial functions. Before joining Duke in 2003, Hof held leadership positions at the Wake Forest School of Medicine and at QualChoice of North Carolina, a health maintenance organization that was affiliated with Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center and based in Winston-Salem. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting in 1976 and his MBA in 1991, both from Wake Forest.
