Monday, November 18th, 2019

Verger Capital, the Outsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO) firm exclusively serving non-profit organizations, is pleased to announce the addition of Brian Clark as Investment Director. As an integral member of Verger’s Investment Team, Brian will be actively involved with clients in all aspects of the investment process; including, sourcing new investment opportunities, portfolio and risk management, and client performance reporting.

Brian comes to Verger with over a decade of experience in the investment industry, specifically with endowments and foundations.  Most recently Brian served as Investment Manager at The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation in Baltimore, MD, where he assisted in the management of the Foundation’s approximately $2.9 billion in assets.  Prior to that, he held investment positions at the University of Cincinnati endowment and Paragon Advisors, a multi-family office in Cleveland, Ohio.

“We have a great deal of respect for the institutions where Brian has served, and his reputation precedes him.  We are very excited to add his talent and experience to the strength of our Investment Team,” said Verger Chief Executive and Chief Investment Officer, Jim Dunn.  “Brian’s background as a generalist coupled with his specific knowledge in alternatives and private strategies align well with Verger’s investment approach and the needs of our clients.”

Brian earned a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Miami University and is a CFA® charterholder.

To accommodate continued growth of the team, Verger is relocating its office from Wake Forest University’s campus to a prime location in the heart of downtown Winston-Salem.  Providing views of the city and easy access for visitors to the firm, Verger looks forward to the role the new office space will play in supporting their internal teams, clients, and partners.

“Verger has established a great team and culture, and their focus in the endowments and foundations space allows me to continue to serve worthy, mission-driven institutions on a broader scale,” said Brian when asked why he chose Verger. “My family and I are looking forward to joining the Verger team and becoming a part of the Winston-Salem community.”

Brian’s official start date is November 18, 2019.
